Linux System Programming

Late last week I received my copy of Robert Love's new book Linux Systems Programming. Tonight was my first chance to sit down and read it through and I'm glad I did.

I would have to say I really enjoyed the first two-thirds of the book and found it excitingly filled with non-esoteric explanations of complex concepts. The last few chapters, however, were so granular on details that I am ashamed to say I flipped through much of it knowing I would come back to it as a manual in the future.

Overall, I will be placing this right next to my copy of The C Programming Language as a reference of the Do's and Don'ts of C programming on Linux.
